The 102nd edition of the “Backyard Brawl” between Pitt and West Virginia on Friday, Nov. 27, at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium will be televised by ESPN2 at 7 p.m.

WVU Basketball Teams To Play Exhibitions Sunday
The West Virginia University men’s and women’s basketball teams will open the 2009-10 season with exhibition matchups at the WVU Coliseum on Sunday, Nov. 8.
The eighth-ranked men’s basketball team will play Mountain State in its exhibition game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase in advance online at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME. Tickets can also be purchased at the Coliseum ticket windows on gameday.
The women’s basketball team will face Glenville State in its lone exhibition game Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Admission for that contest is free and open to the public
WVU Opens With Towson In Preseason WNIT
Fans Invited To WVU Football Watch Party Post-Game
The West Virginia University women’s basketball team will face Towson in the first round of the Preseason WNIT on Friday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum
The first 1,000 fans will receive WVU rally towels. Kids also have the opportunity to have their face painted and get men’s basketball player autographs in the concourse during pre-game.
Fans are invited to stay after the game to watch the WVU-Cincinnati football game on the videoboard at the Coliseum.
The Mountaineers return three starters and welcome a top 20 recruiting class for the 2009-10 season. WVU brings back two of its top three scorers from last year in guards Liz Repella and Sarah Miles.
Repella, an all-Big East second team player in 2009, was named to the preseason all-Big East team after being just one of four players to finish in the top 10 in scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (8.1 rpg) last season.
Miles, who won the BIG EAST’s most improved player award in 2009, finished her sophomore season averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds after playing mostly at point guard
