ESPN Reporting West Virginia Football O-Lineman Josh Jenkins Out for Season

Andrea Adelson in the Big East Football Blog reports that West Virginia football player Josh Jenkins will miss his Senior season at WVU following surgery in his left knee. Jenkins who is West Virginia’s starting left guard injured his knees in the Spring game and after rehabbing found that the knee was still unstable. Jenkins will be eligible for a medical hardship waiver and should return for his senior season in 2012.

WVU Football Season Tickets Go On Sale Wednesday

The second wave of West Virginia football season tickets go on sale on Wednesday Jue 22nd begiinning at 9:00 am. Season ticket orders can only be made by calling 1-800-WVU GAME or in person at the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the WVU Coliseum. There will be no online orders for this round of season ticket sales. The WVU football season will start off against ~~Moo You~~ Marshall on Sunday Sept 4 at 3:30 pm. From WV Illustrated word comes out “The Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League have acquired the rights to sign Pat White.” Now that doesn’t mean that we will soon see former WVU football stat Pat White in a football uniform, it just means that the decision of whether to play football again is in Pat’s control. Many of the great quarterbacks and players in the NFL have played in the Canadian League so if Pat White would like to eventually play again in the league this could be the way. “Mountaineer fans, you are invited to the season debut of the Bill Stewart Statewide Sportsline Wednesday night, Sept. 1 at the Morgantown Event Center at Waterfront Place.
Join us inside the Morgantown Event Center where head coach Bill Stewart will be talking Mountaineer football from 7:06 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The show will also feature appearances by the WVU Pep Band, the Mountaineer Mascot and the WVU cheerleaders.
It’s an indoor tailgate party to kickoff the 2010 season featuring food and prizes. Concession food will be offered…$2 burgers and $1 hot dogs.
Morgantown Event Center doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Admission to the event and parking at the Morgantown Event Center garage are free. Seating is based on a first come, first serve basis.”
